Therapy Doesn't Have to Break the Bank
Most people don't put off therapy because they don't want help. They put it off because they've already decided it's too expensive before they've even called anywhere.
At Fuller Arizona Family Therapy, this assumption is exactly what we want to challenge. Individual sessions start at $45. Couples and family sessions start at $55. Those are real, current rates, not a "starting from" number buried in fine print.
Why sessions can start this low
Fuller Arizona is a training clinic connected to Fuller Theological Seminary's Marriage and Family Therapy program. Graduate interns see clients under the direct supervision of licensed therapists, which is what keeps the entry-level rate so low without cutting corners on care. As clients and interns both grow, there are tiers that move up to associate-licensed and independently licensed therapists, so people can choose the level of experience and price point that fits where they are.
What affordable does not mean
Affordable does not mean rushed, generic, or lower quality. Every intern therapist is supervised by a licensed clinician, and the clinic uses the same evidence-based approaches used across the field: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, the Gottman Method for couples, Family Systems work, and trauma-focused care. The training model means therapists are actively current on techniques, not coasting on years-old habits.
What it costs to wait
The harder cost is the one that doesn't show up on an invoice: the relationship strain that keeps compounding, the anxiety that keeps building, the family pattern that gets harder to unlearn the longer it runs. A $45 first session is a small ask compared to what another year of the same struggle costs a person or a family.
Getting started
Fuller Arizona offers a free 15-minute consultation before anyone commits to a full session, so there's a low-pressure way to ask questions first. Appointments are often available within about a week.
