Therapy can help children and teens better understand their emotions, navigate challenges, and develop healthier ways to cope and relate to others. In a supportive environment, they build emotional awareness, strengthen problem-solving skills, and learn practical tools for managing stress and conflict.
Because children and teens often express themselves in ways beyond words, therapy may include play, art, drawing, building, and imaginative activities. These approaches, along with age-appropriate conversation, help young clients process experiences, communicate feelings, and discover new solutions to the challenges they face.

Group therapy involves one or more therapists who lead a group of roughly 5 to 15 clients. Some people attend individual therapy in addition to groups, while others participate in groups only. Many groups are designed to target a specific problem such as depression or social anxiety, other groups focus more generally on improving social skills, while others focus on processing significant life events like grief and loss.
